Indulge a bit. After all, you only live once.

Sorry I've been absolutely MIA lately. I've been getting into the flow of things since college started and I've had such little time on my hands. I'll try my best to start posting again ASAP!

Man Down!

Ahhh I have managed to drop my YSL Parisienne on the floor TWICE in the past two days. Both times it fell off the counter and bounced a couple times on the tile floor. My heart literally dropped. But thankfully, the bottle has held strong and is still in one piece (:

I've had this bottle for over a year now and use it quite a lot, and still have more than half left!

Goodies from Ferragamo

One of my Mom's favorite stores for shoes is Salvatore Ferragamo so we stopped by several while we were in NYC. I think she somehow loves me transitioning into more classic footwear...

Look the protection stickers are still on! Oops. I wanted the nude flats but they didn't have it in stock so I got it in the black .These retail for $395 and feel quite amazing on the feet.

At the airport, we picked up this gorgeous wrap bracelet ($100).

Lunch at Whisk

Whisk is a well-known chocolate eatery in Shanghai, but it also serves delicious food! It's always crowded around meal times so make sure to make a reservation! Whitney and I went there for lunch the day before she was to leave Shanghai.

Whitney got the white sangria while I just got a ginger ale.

This is what Whitney got. I'm not sure what it's called, but I know it has pine nuts, arugula, tomatoes, and mozerella cheese.

I got the Spaghetti Bolognese and it was 68 RMB ($10.50). It had a little kick to it that I've never tasted in other meat sauces.

And then it was dessert time! Whisk is famous for their amazing chocolate desserts and we decided to split the Upside Down. It's basically a rich, chocolate cake that is super chocolately to the point that it feels almost like chocolate syrup and it comes with a scoop of vanilla gelato. This was 35 RMB ($5.50) and well worth it considering it's hard for a single person to finish it all off.

Recent Acquisitions

I recently picked up this bra at H&M for 99 RMB ($15).

I asked my friend, Asumi, to pick up the DollyWink Liquid Eyeliner in Deep Black when she was in Japan because it's really famous and I needed a new liquid liner. I'm still getting used to the pen-tip but it's going swimmingly!

My friend, Whitney, passed on this bag and MAC quad to me as she no longer uses them. But hey, one person's trash is another's treasure! This bag has become my everyday bag because it's so convenient. It holds the right amount of stuff and it's easy for me to get things out of, like my wallet or subway card. The quad will just stay empty for now, until I decide to stop by MAC for some more eyeshadows.

My mom got this Guerlain perfume as a gift for being one of their loyal customers or something along those lines. She's not the biggest fan of perfume so she gave it to me. It smells like pomelo and is quite "light". But also a strong scent at the same time.

My mother and I were walking around the newly opened shops at the Kerry Centre in Pudong, and we happened upon the accessory store Twice. I've seen it around Shanghai before and they were having a 4 items for 160 RMB ($25) sale, which works out to 40 RMB (a little more than $6) per item!

The sunglasses were originally 199 RMB ($31) and the necklace was originally 79 RMB ($12.30).

I need scarves for the fall/winter so these colorful, printed scarves were an amazing find! The one on the left is a square scarf with little tassles on the edge and was originally 189 RMB ($29.30). The one on the right is a circle scarf and has light pink lining on the inside, originally 169 RMB ($26.30).

In total, I saved 496 RMB ($77) if I were to have bought these at original price!
